Hello my name is
Rochelle and I am from Australia
“downunder” Your words are brilliant and you are a
very talented author. The reason I’m sending you this e-mail
is to ask if I could use bits and pieces of your words for a song I
would love to do.
I am a new artist in Australia
and just coming up with some ideas at present, could you please drop me
a e-mail of your thoughts.
keep up the great work.

here listening to the IndepenDisc Sampler...what a great
collection!...great stuff, indeed...I especially like The Who Whos
track, the Jennifer Parsignault track and the Cloud track, that has
much for the copy; your role is truly a labor of love.

First of all, let me
say, that it sounds like all of you at the Stones show in Philly 1978
were SOOOOOOOO wasted that you wouldn’t even know what songs
they were playing!! Secondly, I was at that show, and I must correct
you on many points!! I was NOT WASTED!! The Stones played a very good
set that lasted 90 minutes plus! (I keep a journal and have the
clippings and reviews to back this) Mick was told to cancel this show
because he had a 102 degree fever and the flu, had a sore throat and
was dehydrated but HE insisted on not cancelling; he did not want to
disappoint YOUR SORRY ASS!!)
I’m sure you didn’t know this
because you never took the time to read the newspapers the next day! I
DID!! If you care to bash the Stones again, at least get your facts
P.S. It’s no-minds like you that give bands like the Stones
bad press that they don’t deserve!! I’m not
surprised! I see YOUR KIND of “ Fan” at Rolling
Stones shows that I’ve been to over the past 30 years and I
find YOU MOST DISTURBING because you don’t care about the
MUSIC, or the Rolling Stones! You attend these shows to PARTY!!!
You’re a disgrace! Kindly keep such insipid
“Reviews” to yourself from now on and do all of us
a HUGE FAVOR!!
"Hey Debra, we call it like we see it."

What We Did, and when I received it, I
sent in feedback to you guys. Today, because of the e-mail, I
received three Parker
singles. I just wanted to e-mail you again for
such a gracious gift; I'm enjoying the singles quite a bit.
You know what's sad? When they got here, before I saw the packing
list, I was frantically searching through the site to see if I had
accidentally ordered the Disc-A-Month
program. It's amazing how
things can't just be free these days. God, how I love indie labels.

Can you send, or

Just wanted to
compliment you on your speedy service. I placed my order Thursday and
received it Saturday—the fastest I’ve ever gotten a
mail order CD. Also, thanks for stocking the old Furors album. I’ve
been looking for it since discovering this band through the tribute
record, so it’s great to also be able to hear original
versions of these songs.

Thanks so much for
taking the time to respond to my order so quickly!I’ve been bugging Frank for weeks
for Christmas or Birthday ideas and it was only recently he mentioned
this CD of the month program.I can assure you it will be his
favorite birthday gift!I do
not believe Frank has The Trollops CD,

I’m very excited about this gift!!I’m always second guessing myself on
gifts I get for him, but this one is a winner!
Thanks again for your note
and I will be in touch very soon! Linda
Hi Gary-we were out late last nite but checked in
around midnite and saw the site.WOW!you really paid attention and gave a thorough interpretation
of the music.
Peter was so happy that
you went thru the songs and actually talked
that doesn’t happen very often in reviews.
I’m sending out
this month’s update and will send everyone to the site.hell, you even made me
want to buy the record.we’re
so excited about being featured and having our music brought to a wider
audience than we ever could reach.so for that, thanks so much.and the comp you sent is really great. some of the bands I had
never heard of, and funny thing is that I heard one song in particular
and said “hmm, that is an awsome song”and it turns out it was Deep City Elm.
The Jellyshirts song is
one of the ones I love the most that the BLB does so that was a nice
treat to listen to.

I have just been reading
your review and I am happy happy happy!! And touched. It is our first
review on the album (Swedish papers aren’t allowed to write
about it until in the end of August) so of course me and my brothers
are very happy. Yesterday we meet for the first time for a long time to
rehearse (we are going to play on a festival on Thursday), so
everything is good and nice and funny now.
Hey thanks a lot for
the great review!
You are one of those rare birds who actually listens to the lyrics!!
Probably the best review so far. It’s good to know

Well thanks again and hope you like the next release: 14 new tunes just

I wish I had known of your site when I was putting together the CD.I needed someone to write
the liner notes and when I finally found someone, he had to back out at
the last minute and I ended up doing them myself. You could have done a
much better job.Thanks
so much for your kind words.I
am sending this message after writing another one that I
don’t think you got. If you did just consider this one
another kudo to you and your kind words.
Rocket From The Tombs may

Gary, thanks for the
great review! The best part for me, though, is that you’re
absolutely dead on: You get it! Though I also appreciate when people
bring their own interpretations, it’s really gratifying when
someone really understands the intent. Thanks!!
Hi Gary- thanks for the
great review. What a pleasant surprise! Also thanks for the info on the
message group. I’m not really sure how I go about accessing
it. Do I send a message directly to you to be posted?Occasionally we will announce an upcoming
radio interview and that would be a good sound-board. Let me know
please, and thanks again for all your support.
it’s in the morning and I’m on
my way to the studio - I’m going to sing soon (“Big
Nose”). I just read the review and I am so full of joy that
my face is a big, big smile. WOW!!! I’m going to tell Carlos
that he can put the link on our site now.
I’m in a hurry,
but I just wanted you to know that I loved the review (how could I
not...) and that I feel very inspired to sing today.
Ps. Thunder In My Heart
is a happy disco-tune (Carlos and Klaus didn’t know about it,
and when I played it for them - after recording it - they really got a
shock. They thought it was a sweet ballad. It’s not!).
I just wanted to say
thank you so very much for the extremely thoughtful review you gave us.It’s really a
great read.I hope
you agree with the line I extracted from the review on the
“critics” page of our web site. The quote really makes us sound MUCH better
