First of all, let me say, that it sounds like all of you at the Stones show in Philly 1978 were SOOOOOOOO wasted that you wouldn’t even know what songs they were playing!! Secondly, I was at that show, and I must correct you on many points!! I was NOT WASTED!! The Stones played a very good set that lasted 90 minutes plus! (I keep a journal and have the clippings and reviews to back this) Mick was told to cancel this show because he had a 102 degree fever and the flu, had a sore throat and was dehydrated but HE insisted on not cancelling; he did not want to disappoint YOUR SORRY ASS!!)

I’m sure you didn’t know this because you never took the time to read the newspapers the next day! I DID!! If you care to bash the Stones again, at least get your facts straight!

Debra.

P.S. It’s no-minds like you that give bands like the Stones bad press that they don’t deserve!! I’m not surprised! I see YOUR KIND of “ Fan” at Rolling Stones shows that I’ve been to over the past 30 years and I find YOU MOST DISTURBING because you don’t care about the MUSIC, or the Rolling Stones! You attend these shows to PARTY!!! You’re a disgrace! Kindly keep such insipid “Reviews” to yourself from now on and do all of us a HUGE FAVOR!!

I recently ordered Saucers' What We Did, and when I received it, I
sent in feedback to you guys. Today, because of the e-mail, I
received three Parker singles. I just wanted to e-mail you again for
such a gracious gift; I'm enjoying the singles quite a bit.

You know what's sad? When they got here, before I saw the packing
list, I was frantically searching through the site to see if I had
accidentally ordered the Disc-A-Month program. It's amazing how
things can't just be free these days. God, how I love indie labels.
Thanks again!

Can you send, or publish, the list of track titles so I can enter them in my Music Match jukebox (for my iPod play list)?   Another thing - you could consider updating the Musicmatch play list with the titles you carry, since most are not in the CD database (until I update it).

Hi Gary-  we were out late last nite but checked in around midnite and saw the site.  WOW!  you really paid attention and gave a thorough interpretation of the music.

Peter was so happy that you went thru the songs and actually talked about them.
that doesn’t happen very often in reviews.

I’m sending out this month’s update and will send everyone to the site.  hell, you even made me want to buy the record.  we’re so excited about being featured and having our music brought to a wider audience than we ever could reach.  so for that, thanks so much.  and the comp you sent is really great.  some of the bands I had never heard of, and funny thing is that I heard one song in particular and said “hmm, that is an awsome song”  and it turns out it was Deep City Elm.

The Jellyshirts song is one of the ones I love the most that the BLB does so that was a nice treat to listen to.

we’ll be seeing you around.

I guess you really enjoyed the CD, I’m so glad of that.

Thank you for taking the time to express your feelings like that to the members of your music club.

I still play ZZ and enjoy it. particularly for the feelings BB put in there.  I am going to forward this link to the person, Morris Griffith, who was instrumental in getting me off my ass and BB off the shelf.

My favorite right now is the Roots Rasta Party, that’s my speed. Dancehall is doing OK. Rockers will be soon.

I am negotiating with Phillip Fraser for some extra trax for “Blood of the Saint” so I can release it as a full CD and not a Maxi.

Hey there. Dan dropped me word about your review of Natural Selection on www.independisc.com, so I checked it out. Great job, man. As a writer and a critic, I appreciated your analysis of the music—you really nailed the feel of the music in the writing.

And while I’m not nearly as crazy about the new disc as you are, I have to say that I share many of your sentiments about the band. When I heard L&A, I knew, thematically, this was a great, great band, and I was thrilled to join.

And, of course, thanks for giving the band such high praise. We couldn’t do without it.

Rock on,

Hey gary at independisc,

This may sound totally unhip and uncool and non-rock and roll.  But i wanted to thank you 100,000 times over for the amazing review. So, thank you.  I don’t have the energy to type out the other 99,999.  I just can’t get over what an amazing review it is.

thanks
